Keto The Kind Way, Product Overview

This is a one of a kind approach to the ketogenic diet. It contains over 50 recipes that are vegetarian and pescatarian friendly. Kenzie B. includes grocery lists, out to eat guidelines, snack ideas and five minute meals for people who want the benefits of the ketogenic diet without consuming meat.

The Good & the Bad

The Good:

PRO #1: Provides a wide variety of dishes for every different taste.

PRO #2: Affordable pricing and immediate access to your content. You can view it only and only print out the recipes that you want to try. That is more eco-friendly than purchasing a book with a bunch of recipes that you’ll never try.

PRO #3: These are vegetarian! This is really difficult to get on the restrictions that the ketogenic diet has to eating. Most vegetables and fruits contain lots of carbohydrates.

The Bad:

CON #1: It is vegetarian and pescatarian. I think there are some serious downsides to trying to do the ketogenic diet as a vegetarian. It is easier for the body to absorb the nutrients in meat. However, Kenzie B. figured it out.

CON #2: It is an ebook. You will either view it on the internet or print it out. It would be nice to have a hard copy.

Who is The Kind Keto Way For?

This is great for the vegetarian who wants to do the ketogenic diet. It is ideal for vegetarian people with diabetes, epilepsy, Alzheimers. It is great for the vegetarian who is overweight and looking to shed those excess pounds.

Carbohydrates are inflammatory, so anyone who is suffering from inflammation and wants to reduce their carbohydrate intake will benefit from a ketogenic diet, whether it is vegetarian, pescatarian or the standard meat based ketogenic diet.

Reducing carbohydrates also reduces the demand for insulin on the body. Therefore, for someone with diabetes, going ketogenic is ideal. This will give you a great survival guide if you are interested in doing the ketogenic diet with vegetarian recipes.

My Final Opinion of Keto The Kind Way

I’m not a fan. I thought the recipes were great, but I am not a vegetarian. I did not do well on the raw vegan diet when I did it. Therefore, I am a bit biased as to how keto should be done. That being said, I gave it 75/100 because I did think it was useful for people who are dead set on being vegetarian and reaping the benefits of going keto.

  1. Thank you for this review! My husband is diabetic and I’m always looking for more recipes and ideas to try. I had considered getting this book, but even though we eat a lot of veggies, we are definitely meat eaters. What I’m wondering, is if these recipes would be good as an occasional thing, or do you have to stick with them daily to get the keto benefits?

  2. I think it is very bold and challenging to try to do a keto diet plan as a vegetarian. I am mainly keto and paleo so when I saw your article I thought, how can this work? Like you, I would put this on a sliding scale of “good for a vegetarian version of keto” as opposed to the best keto diet to follow. Are the recipes in an easy to print out format? That could lead to printing and collecting your own unique version of the book.

    1. Yes. You can print them out. I definitely recommend the free Bacon and Butter cookbook more frequently to people who are interested in trying keto. I think that most vegetarians don’t realize that a lot of animals are killed in the conventional mass production of vegetables. They are smaller animals, such as rabbits and mice. We kill a lot of insects with pesticides when we mass produce food as well.
I think that there isn’t a lot of understanding how vegetables have antinutrients to protect themselves and those can be harmful, irritate the gut and lead to autoimmune conditions.

  3. I was actually diagnosed with diabetes in june of 2015 and my life hasn’t been the same since. I must admit that i still overeat and i dont really have a stable meal plan and i know its not healthy but its really hard to keep up with a diet when you feel deprived of the things you enjoy eating. Ill be looking more into this because i need a stable meal plan

    1. Sounds good. I feel for people with diabetes. I know how hard it is mentally and emotionally for my sister. However, once you get into a habit of eating healthy foods that don’t spike your blood sugars, you should be well on the way to improving your health.
