Welcome to Get Fit and Healthy at Home! This website is dedicated to the things that you can do around your home to create a lifestyle of health and fitness. 


At age 13, I was diagnosed with Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy. My health took a downward spiral for a couple decades after that. It was in my early thirties that I realized that as long as I was taking medication, I was not going to get better. Therer would be no self-healing. The medication didn’t actually help me heal. It simply masked the symptoms of dysfunction in my body. I had seen my body heal from viruses and other ailments during my life. Why wouldn’t it be able to heal from epilepsy and alopecia. 

I started to research online about home remedies for preventing seizures. Seizure prevention was a big thing for me. I was also developing an autoimmune condition called Alopecia Universalis. I could easily hide the seizures from the world, but it really bothered me that my hair was falling out in chunks. Vanity pushes people to action. 

I started testing out things like acupuncture, hypnosis, diets and exercises. I did yoga, pilates, the blood type diet and even tried out being a raw vegan for a number of months. Some things just didn’t provide results. Other things were very beneficial, but the results were slow. 


I want to help other people get healthier because it is a very empowering feeling to know that your body will heal. It feels great when you realize that you aren’t dependent on medication. When your energy levels are naturally high and you can accomplish all the things that you want to do, it is wonderful. I want other people to feel that they have control over their health.

I spent a summer selling final expense life insurance over the phone. One thing that I discovered that shocked me was the number of people 60-80 that were constantly going to the doctor. When I asked about what prescriptions they were on there was usually a long list. Some of them complained about their health and others proclaimed that they were in great health, but one of the common things that they mentioned was that they were all on statin drugs or pre-diabetic. These things can easily be prevented! You don’t need to rely on expensive medication to prevent diabetes. You simply need to change a few of the things that you eat. You will then free up a good portion of your time going to doctors and enjoy your life more fully! 


The goal of this site is to share what I am doing with you that works! It is to provide some encouragement to people who have the goal of getting healthier and happier in their lives. I want to share the tips and tricks for creating the lifestyle that promotes health and happiness and not just a quick fix to your current problem whether it is weight loss or conquering a serious health condition like epilepsy, which can be life threatening. 

My goal is to empower you. We have fallen into the thinking that doctors will help us solve our health problems and seem to have forgotten that there are many things that we can do on our own in our own homes that will encourage health and healing!
