I took the Nature’s Bounty Hair Skin and Nails supplement for about a month to try to cure my alopecia universalis. This is my opinion of the product.

Nature’s Bounty Hair, Skin, and Nails Vitamin Supplement, Product Overview

This is a combination of vitamins that are thought to nourish the hair follicles, skin, and nails. Many people rely on this supplement to strengthen their nails and encourage their hair to grow stronger. This supplement comes as 150 rapid-release liquid soft gels.

The softgels feature 5000 mcg of biotin to support good hair and healthy nails. It also has a daily dose of vitamin C & vitamin E to support glowing skin in the person taking the supplement. The B vitamins in this product help with energy metabolism and vitamin A assists with overall health.

The Good & the Bad

The Good:

PRO #1: Easy to take softgels. There is no gross flavor.
PRO #2: Inexpensive. The product is less than a dollar per day.
PRO #3: Produces some results even for people who don’t have hair.

The Bad:

CON #1: Contains ingredients that are not beneficial for people with autoimmune conditions including soybean oil, vegetable glycerin, soy lecithin, carmine color, mica, silica, titanium dioxide color. These additives can be problematic for someone who has an autoimmune disease.
CON #2: Accidental overdose will cause vomiting.

Who is Nature’s Bounty Hair, Skin, and Nails For?

This product is probably ideal for someone who is experiencing hair thinning but does not have any other major health conditions. It is also good for someone who wants to strengthen their nails because they are weak and chipping.

Nature’s Bounty Tools & Training

While taking a daily vitamin is not difficult, Nature’s Bounty does provide information on their website about Beauty, Food & Vitamins. You can find a lot of beauty tips and good information on their website. They will recommend other supplements for you as well.

Nature’s Bounty Support

Nature’s Bounty has customer service representatives that will answer your questions about the product. You can use this contact form to get in touch with them if you have a question about drug interactions, dosing, medical conditions, and vitamin product information.

The Hair, Skin, and Nails Price

The cost of the hair, skin and nails vitamins for a one-month supply is $23.50. This is fairly reasonable and most middle-class families can afford to buy this supplement. The cost is actually on the lower end for hair supplements. There are some more natural supplements that cost three times that amount.

My Final Opinion of Nature’s Bounty Hair, Skin, and Nails

I would continue to take this product if it weren’t for the fact that it has some fillers that are bad for people with autoimmune diseases. It is not recommended in the online hair n’ heal coaching program that I joined, so I won’t try taking it again for at least two months.

I do think that these vitamins played a role in helping to regrow my vellus eyelashes on the bottom eyelids. I was definitely encouraged and saw other people saying that it takes about 4 months to see real progress. Unfortunately, I found this other program that is specifically targeted to the autoimmune hair loss that I currently have.

VERDICT: LEGIT! I do think that these vitamins are priced reasonably and will produce results for most people if they continue to take them. I purchased them because I was tired of taking the Purify gummies. I think I simply prefer to swallow my vitamins!
