Plan for Success

The Alopecia Angel’s Hair n’ Heal program has you plan out each week. While I have a general idea of the foods that I will eat on the AIP diet, I haven’t taken the step of meal planning in quite some time. Today, I took that step again. I planned out my meal for this week. 

This was challenging because I had gone grocery shopping yesterday and hadn’t made a list of foods that I would need in order to follow AIP. I knew that I had plenty of meat from my meat delivery. I also knew that vegetables could be optional after doing the PKD diet and I had plenty of pork fat to keep me satiated. 

But what was I going to eat? 

My general meal plan is to have a hash or a vegetable and ground meat scramble for breakfast, a soup for lunch, and a hamburger patty with some vegetables for dinner. This week was no different really. The only deviation is that I have some sausage from that has cane sugar added to it. Because the meat is so high-quality, I’m choosing not to worry too much about the small amount of cane sugar that they added to it. I will make sure to request that I don’t have meats with cane sugar in my next delivery.

Each day I will mix it up a bit, so I don’t feel like I’m eating the same thing over and over again even though I am. I love the concept of taking a hot soup to work in my new thermos. Something about hot foods at lunchtime makes me feel healthy. 

Planning out my homework

The weekly planner encouraged us to plan out the homework items that we are going to get done. I had already watched the video that they wanted us to watch. I had also read through all of the attachments except the vegan ones. So, my plan for the week includes scheduling some meditation and exercises for my week. 

Here’s a picture of me with the Hair N’ Heal weekly planner. No makeup and no hair. You can tell that I have lost my eyebrows and eyelashes here. The lighting makes my skin appear blotchy. We can use this as the “before” photo. Hopefully, the “after” picture looks much better!
